Affording Loyola School

At Loyola School, we understand that offering your child the opportunity to attend an Independent, Jesuit, Co-Educational High School requires a substantial financial commitment. The Loyola School’s Financial Aid program is designed to make a Loyola School education possible for all families based on demonstrated financial need and the availability of funds. It is our goal to educate the whole person and prepare you for the world, regardless of financial circumstances.

Applying for Need-Based Aid

Loyola School is proud to use the Clarity Application to determine a family’s level of financial need based on the information that families share in the application which includes assets, income, expenses, and debts.

To get started, please go to the Clarity Application and create an account.

The deadline for completing the financial aid application including relevant supplemental documents is December 20th, 2024 (November 22nd for Early Decision Applicants).

If you need support during the process of completing your application, there is in-app support available through the “Help” button in the bottom left of the screen, as well as email and phone support at support@clarityapp.com or 206-210-3752, in both English and Spanish.

We are committed to ensuring that a Loyola education is accessible to students from a wide range of socioeconomic backgrounds. Loyola recognizes each family's unique situation and works to tailor financial aid to meet their needs.
Please note that Loyola’s admissions decisions are need-blind. Our Financial Aid Committee strives to maximize financial assistance however, we are not able to meet the financial needs for all students offered admission. If offered aid, the degree of assistance offered to a family is determined by an analysis made by the information you shared on your Clarity Application.

Families will indicate they are interested in being considered for financial aid by checking the box on Part 1 of the admissions application. Once Part 1 of the application is submitted, you will then receive a letter with instructions on how to apply for financial aid. Families will be notified of need-based financial aid award decisions at the same time that they receive notice of admission.

Merit-based Scholarships

Merit based scholarships are awarded to applicants based on their strength across academic disciplines as well as a commitment to his or her school through extracurricular and community based activities. A scholar goes above and beyond what is asked of him or her in the classroom demonstrating exceptional leadership qualities, possessing a solid foundation of core values and a strong understanding of a Jesuit education.

Returning Families

Returning families who were not awarded aid upon admission may apply in subsequent years only if they have experienced a significant and unanticipated change in financial circumstances. Siblings entering college or other private schools does not constitute an unanticipated change. Awards to returning families and transfer applicants are subject to the availability of resources as determined by Loyola’s annual operating budget.

Families may begin applying for financial aid on September 3, 2024. For information on the application process, please refer to the Family Application Guide.

Single parent families wishing to waive the requirement of obtaining financial documents from their child's non-custodial second parent must fill out a Custodial Waiver Form.
