About

Loyola School's New Building

Loyola School officially opened our new building in September 2024, adding 10,000 square feet of new student space to our campus.

Commons

The Commons has doubled in size and transformed into a space which permits 150 students to eat in the space at one time with an open concept and natural light flowing from our new windows. We have also created new office spaces for our School Counselors, Director of Campus Ministry, and Director of Christian Service.

The Discernment Center

On the first floor of our building we have expanded our student space and created a new collaborative environment for our students now known as the Discernment Center. In the Discernment Center, students will have the opportunity to engage in meaningful interactions and discussions not only with one another, but also with our College Counselors and different College and University representatives who visit our school to share information about their schools and meet with our Knights.

Library Expansion

Loyola School's Sr. Nora Cronin, PBVM Library-Technology Center has expanded into an interactive learning center with additional study space for students. The new expansion also includes a conference center which is being used for both traditional classes and virtual meetings with other Jesuit Schools across the world through Loyola School's burgeoning Global Education program.

Third Floor

Loyola School's third floor expansion has allowed for a new faculty/staff room, doubling in it’s previous size to allow all teachers to collaborate together in one space. This expansion has also allowed us to add an additional classroom to the third floor as well as a smaller study hub for students and faculty to come together for office hours, group work and club meetings.

STEM Lab

With the expansion of STEM and STEM-related classes at Loyola School, the need for a STEM lab was a priority in this new building project. On the fourth floor of our school, also known as the Science Floor, we have added a new STEM lab with high end equipment and a designated robotics field, allowing our cocurriculars like robotics, Science Olympiad team, and the Coding Club to continue to grow. This new space also allows for more hands-on projects and opportunities for all of our students who are taking Computer-Aided Design, Engineering, Advanced Programming and Computer Science courses. The space will prepare Loyola School students for college science and engineering classes, as well as, and current and future STEM careers.

Dance & Music Studio

Creative expression through music, visual, and performing arts is a critical component of the Loyola School experience. With our new music and dance studio, the amount of space dedicated for the arts has increased by 42%. This new space has given those programs the opportunity to grow and every day we have seen our students  continue to find their voice, discover their passion, and find a sense of belonging through the arts.
