Annual Giving

Support the Loyola Community

Gifts to the Annual Fund provide critical and unrestricted support to the school's operating budget for the current fiscal year.

The Annual Fund offers support to virtually every aspect of life at Loyola, including: academic and extracurricular programs; faculty compensation and professional development; financial aid; and facility maintenance.

Your Gift Matters

We encourage your participation in the Annual Fund. Loyola relies on the Annual Fund to help cover the difference between tuition and the actual cost of a Loyola education. The Annual Fund runs from July 1 to June 30th.

Annual Fund FAQ

List of 7 frequently asked questions.

  • What is the Annual Fund and why is it necessary?

As in most independent schools, tuition and fees do not cover the full cost of a student’s education. The Annual Fund provides funding that directly impacts each student by enhancing academic and co-curricular programming, retaining our outstanding faculty, and ensuring that a Loyola education is accessible to an economically diverse population. Annual Fund dollars are unrestricted; are used to exclusively support Loyola’s operating budget; and support virtually every aspect of school life.
  • How much should I give?

We ask that you contribute at a level that is meaningful for your family. While the amount varies for each family, a gift at any level makes a difference. The school values all gifts regardless of size.  Above all, we strive for 100% participation.
  • Why is 100% participation so important?

High participation is an important factor that foundations and corporations consider when deciding to invest in Loyola. The school’s financial strength is dependent upon the participation of our parents, faculty and alumni. Participation in the Annual Fund sends a strong message of support for the school’s mission and our students.
  • How can I make a gift to the Annual Fund?

There are many different ways to make a gift to Loyola. To make a gift online, now, click here.
  • May I make a pledge to the Annual Fund?

Yes. Pledges must be fulfilled by June 30. To work out a monthly installment schedule for your donation, please contact Sally Benner, Vice President for Advancement, at 646-346-8147 or via email at sbenner@loyolanyc.org.
  • Does it matter when I make my gift?

Though the Annual Fund runs from July 1 through June 30 every year, we encourage donors to make a gift or pledge before December 31. Making a gift or pledge early in the fiscal year significantly helps the School in budget planning.
  • How is the Annual Fund different from fundraising events like the Spring Benefit Gala?

The Spring Benefit Gala is our largest fundraising event of the year bringing together parents, alumni, friends, faculty, and staff in generous support of Loyola’s mission. Fundraising events like the Spring Benefit Gala in May and the Shea-Armstrong Golf Classic in June, together with the Annual Fund, are integral to supporting Loyola’s unrestricted operating expenses. In addition to supporting the Annual Fund, your support of the Spring Benefit Gala and other fundraising events is encouraged and appreciated.
